Youtube and I have been in a relationship for about a year and I'm going to talk to you guys about it. I have a lot of opposite and confusing feelings about this relationship so this post may not be really well structured.
I met Youtube approximatly in Autumn 2013. At first I just created a account and started following "the Janoskians" because a friend told me to and I, as a teenager, just do what people tell me to do without thinking. So "the Janoskians" is a group of five Australian teenagers that film themselves doing really stupid things such as pepper spraying each other, eating live worms, drinking 3L colorated milk and throwing up rainbows etc etc etc... I found it hilarious- and please don't judge me, it is known that people find stupid things really funny-. So one night that I was just hanging out with Youtube and the Janoskians, I came across a video called "Dare or Dare- British bloggers VS Janoskians" where Mazzi Maz, Alfie and Marcus Butler were challenging the Aussies.
And that's how it all started.
I stayed up all night to spend as much time with Youtube as I possibly could, subscribing to more and more youtubers and watching more and more videos of all kinds, getting more and more dark circles and increasing more and more my consumption of concealer.
TatcherJoe, Tyler Oakley, Troye Sivan, Jenna Marbles, Tanya Burr, Jacksgap, Fun for Louis, MrBen Brown, Jim Chapman, Caspar Lee, Oli White, Smosh, Hannah Hart, Daily Grace, Emma Blackberry, the FineBros, Zoella, Mamrie Hart, Miranda sings, AmazingPhil, ...
I was totally losing control.
I have to say that Youtube is kind of ignoring me so it's utterly a one-sided relationship
... but I just can't help loving him...
I put my all life on the back burner for him.
I have now overcome this addiction, even though it's still a real struggle. If you are or have been or know someone suffering from this disease, comment and share this blog. You are not alone, it is estimated that more than eight hundred million people visit youtube each month. Things could be looking up.
